In a few hours, Melinda and I will be heading up to the western suburbs of Chicago for an all-too-brief visit. It has been 6 months (!) since coming down to Tucson and it is about time for her to see her sisters once again. It is not like they couldn't come down here to see us this winter (who wouldn't want to visit family in Tucson in January?), but it just didn't happen this year. So until Melinda returns to work on Thursday, forward your thoughts to St Charles, where we hear the sky is blue and temps are in the 60s. Unfortunately, the extended forecast says Tucson will be perilously close to breaking 100F upon our return - that will be a shock!
